To launch the Art With Me – In the Studio series, I’m sharing one of my favorite seasonal projects: a charming spring bird surrounded by fresh greens and colorful flowers. This beginner-friendly tutorial walks you step-by-step through blending soft skies, building texture, and adding playful illustration lines that bring the scene to life. Junk Journal Art Project
Create a one-of-a-kind junk journal using an old book and everyday materials in this guided art project with SJMiller Arts Mobile Art Studio, created in partnership with the Plum Creek Library System as part of their Winter Reading Program. This project encourages creativity, reuse, and personal expression, and is designed to be accessible for adults of all experience levels.
Participants will learn simple bookbinding techniques and decorative layering methods that can be expanded on over time, making each journal truly unique.
